Early Morning Drama Over Norris Lake
Slowly waking up with a cup of coffee and Headline News, I was staring out the window when I noticed a raptor of some sort flying over the lake. Thought at first it was a vulture, but the white head and white tipped wings gave it away as one of the Bald Eagles. He was dipping down to the lake, flying up high, dipping down to the lake....but each time his rose back to the sky, his talons were empty. And then I saw the crows....or some sort of very large black bird that says "CAAAWWWW". First one of these started chasing the eagle and then others joined in. Poor thing gave up catching breakfast and flew off across Stiner Cove with the black birds in hot pursuit.
The very best lakefront bargain properties on Norris Lake today are in Lone Mountain Shores. One property is on Bluff View and the other on Rockfish Point. The economy is improving, interest rates are going up and property prices will follow.
